Designed and developed a Thumb Recognition Based ATM System in C#, enabling secure cardless transactions on ATM machines. The system used biometric authentication through thumb recognition to replace physical ATM cards, focusing on secure user identification, transaction processing, and improving convenience with a faster and safer way to access banking services.
One of the main challenges was ensuring the accuracy and reliability of thumb recognition, especially in cases of poor image quality or partial prints. Integrating the biometric system with secure transaction processing was also difficult, as it required protecting sensitive data and preventing unauthorized access. Another challenge was designing the system to work in real time, so that transactions could be completed quickly without delays, while still maintaining a smooth user experience.
